Sonic Wire Sculptor

The Sonic Wire Sculptor (SWS) is a revolutionary electronic musical instrument - literally. Observing that music is essentially cyclical, it allows you to sculpt rhythm and melodies visually in three dimensions. Whatever you sculpt spins round right in front of you eventually returning to continue its never-ending cycle.

But it's more than that. It's also a traveling installation, having already visited Tokyo, Barcelona, Linz, Montreal, and L.A. At each stop, it's placed in a room with eight-channel speaker system for a true surround-sound experience. Visitors then sculpt their own sonic works of art in real time which are recorded to become part of an increasing library of sonic sculptures.
